Geez this week has flown by! I meant to get this up yesterday, but spent my entire evening(and late night) photographing chocolates for Radiantly Raw…so I’m getting this up today. We are definitely into party season, with multiple holidays and the Indy Give! campaign happening. Everybody, breweries and bars alike, want to get in on the action, so there’s plenty of great beer to be had!
Great Storm is hosting a tapping at The Wild Goose Meeting house. We were there for a little bit last night for The Independent’s resident beer guy Matthew Schniper’s birthday celebration and saw Jeff from Great Storm dropping off the kegs and tap handles. They’ll be tapping their Wild Goose Coffee Brown collaboration, so if you enjoyed The Wild Goose’s last collab with Pikes Peak Brewing, this beer is not to miss! We’ve been loving the combination of cold brewed coffee and beer lately!
Fieldhouse Brewing has been soaking bacon in bourbon for a week. There are enough buzzwords in that sentence to keep us interested. The holy trinity of beer, bacon and bourbon have been combined in Travis Fields’ latest Test Tap. Not to be outdone, Treehouse BBQ is pairing that amazing concoction with thin crust pizza topped with candied bacon and drunk onions. We’ll be stopping in after work for a bit as per our usual Wednesday evening ritual.
Bristol Brewing and the Colorado Springs Independent are joining forces once again with this year’s Indy Give! Black Lager release at 5:30pm! About the beer: Give! Black Lager is the lightest dark beer you’ll ever love. Though cloaked in a deep reddish-brown hue, this beer’s lager roots ensure a quaff that’s clean, mild, and at 5.5% ABV, utterly sessionable. Munich and Carafa Dehusk malts impart a smooth breadiness and mellow roast flavor, while Czech and German hops weigh in gently for a brew you just have to sip to believe. Stop in and grab a pint for charity!
Red Leg Brewing is releasing their Maple Porter on CO2 and on Nitrogen this Thursday! Stop in and try some!
We told you all about River North and Red Leg’s collaboration beer West of Ardennes last week, and Friday is the day it will be released upon the world! Head to The Wild Goose Meeting House to try this before it even has been tapped at the respective breweries! For more on the beer, click here.
Brewers Broads, the club for beer-loving ladies, is having a brew day at Fieldhouse Brewing! They’ll be brewing a Chai Tea Latte brown with chai from The Wild Goose! Ladies if you’re interested, word is the day starts around 10am and will last until 4pm-ish. Stop in at any time and help out! More info is here.
The church with all the beer, Green Man Taproom, is getting in on the Indy Give! fun with their NovemberFRESH Beer Fest that supports the Rocky Mountain Field Institute. Five bucks ahead of time or ten bucks at the door gets you in to buy Randall infused beers with proceeds going to RMFI. If you don’t know what a Randall is, head here. Tickets available on Green Man’s site, and at the door! UPDATE: NovemberFRESH has been Postponed. as soon as we hear about a rescheduled date, we’ll let you all know!
Bristol Brewing is hosting a Beer Dinner for the Conscious Carnivore. Explore the art of pairing beer with food while hearing from the chef, brewer and rancher!
