July nineteenth, abbreviated 7/19, has become a day for our area code! To celebrate, the local alternative radio station, 103.9RXP has partnered with local venue Rawkus in putting on a beer festival featuring breweries, bands and food from the 719(local area code) area at Rawkus Nation concert hall from 4 to 8pm this Sunday, July 19th.
“The first annual 719 Day Brew Fest is a natural extension of the station’s branding and position in the market, as a leader of all things great about living in Colorado Springs and Southern Colorado we are proud to present what will become another great annual summertime event “ says Program Director Aaron Zylte.
Their festival is a unique combination of music, food and beer with samples from 8 breweries, 3 bands, a comedian and 2 food trucks. Beginning at 4pm, general admission attendees will get a commemorative glass to taste the offerings of each brewer while enjoying music and laughter from the best alternative original entertainment found in Colorado Springs. If you’re so inclined, the VIP option opens the gates at 3pm, with food and special seating provided.
103.9’s 719 Day Brew Fest is featuring local area breweries Bristol Brewing, Red Leg Brewing, Iron Bird Brewing, Nano 108 Brewing, Gold Camp Brewing, Fossil Brewing, Fieldhouse Brewing, and soon to open Triple S Brewing. There is also talks that our up-the-pass friends Paradox may also make an appearance!
The event will showcase music from Modern Suspects, Hydrogen Skyline and Lazer & Levi for entertainment.
Festival Tickets are $25 in advance for the first 103 tickets sold, then $35 thereafter and at the door. VIP tickets are available for $45 and include early access 1 hour earlier (3pm), special private seating and a plate of food from the food trucks.
