Trinity Brewing is turning seven. Colorado Springs has seen a huge expansion in breweries these past two years, but there was a time when our town only had five or six to choose from.
Some may remember when they first opened shop off of Garden of the Gods Rd, some may even remember Jason from his Bristol or Colorado College days, or some may have just become fans, but it truly is an accomplishment for Trinity to make it seven years in an exploding beer industry. They’ve grown faster than many of our other Colorado Springs breweries, constantly expanding and sending their brews around the country to what seems like a new city or state monthly.
Just recently, they announced the brewery has paid off their startup loan to a tune of $1 million. That’s a lot of money to pay back in under seven years, so huge props to Jason and his crew for doing it! While I may not see eye to eye all the time with the captain of the Trinity Brewing pirate ship, it’s more important to recognize their importance to the Colorado Springs beer scene.
Starting this Sunday with a beer dinner of epic proportions(6 courses!), Trinity has a week of events planned from tappings to beer releases to patio parties. Definitely try to get in there at some point! Here’s the week’s events:
