Our whirlwind trip to Minnesota this past weekend had us enjoying the sights, sounds, and libations of the National Homebrewers Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Along with 3000 homebrewers, we sampled numerous commercial beers, including a special Surly beer – Whalezbrah! – created just for the conference, and gallons of homebrew showcased by various national homebrew clubs from their decorated booths on Club Night. It wasn’t all fun and droughts, however, throughout the weekend there were numerous educational seminars covering topics ranging from: hop science, running a better homebrew club, recipe formulation, and making better beer.
Recordings of the presentations from this and past years are available to AHA members on the Homebrewers Association website.
The next National Homebrew Con will be held in Portland Oregon, June 28-30, 2018.
