Feast Day on the sprawling, historic grounds of Chapel of Our Saviour, located in the Broadmoor neighborhood of Colorado Springs. It will be a “Festival celebrating Colorado’s lifestyle and culture,” benefiting Westside CARES! The Festival will, of course include beer. . . . And Colorado wine. . . And much, much more, like a family interactive fun zone for all ages!
General Admission: $25 before, $35 at the gate
The admission fee will feature tastings from Colorado breweries (with one exception: Saint Arnold Brewing, Houston, Texas) wineries and distillers who will serve samples of their products. The festival experience will be complimented with a variety of food and merchandise vendors offering a range of Colorado products.
Live music, family activities, and tours of the century old estate (if the walls could talk). Locally prepared artisan food will complement the day’s activities.
The Family 5K and 10K Walks (Volksmarch) sponsored by The Colorado Springs Walking Club will begin in the morning of the feast day. It will originate and terminate at the festival entrance on 4th Street. This walk will be along predetermined routes through the Broadmoor neighborhood. “Volksmarching” is a popular northern European tradition. “Volksmarchers” will be allowed early entry to the festival grounds.
The Feast of St. Arnold will benefit Westside CARES, www.westsideCARES.org whose mission is to provide care and compassion to neighbors in need; the most vulnerable in our communities. Most live on the edge financially, and receive emergency assistance, food, clothing, shelter, transportation, and medical assistance from Westside CARES. As the only emergency human service agency West of I-25, they are an essential asset in our community.
Guests are invited to come as families. Supervised children’s activities will be provided on the church playground. For older children and youth we intend to offer an outdoor area with a variety of active activities.
